WHITE CASE WHITE CASE

Two bottles each of -
Woodlands Chardonnay (Oaked)
A fine example of this stylish wine, the bouquet is of intense and aromatic fruit.  In the mouth, the gentle oaking gives a warm and buttery flavour of honey and yellow fruits. An ample and long finish.
Montgras Sauvignon Blanc La Paz
Grassy, lemon and lime flavours and crisp structure makes for a full bodied, yet easy-drinking and refreshing wine. From the first sip, it is obvious this is not one's average Chilean Sauvignon Blanc - but something much, much better.
Domaine Salvat Blanc
A silver medal winner, and nominated in the Top 100 Vins de Pays in France, this is a fresh bone-dry wine with a powerful aroma and flavour of grapefruit and white fruits. Sauvignon Blanc and Maccabeu blend from the Côtes des Catalanes area, where M. Salvat, a staunch Catalan, is a highly respected and traditional wine-maker. This wine is lovely with fish and sea-food.
Mendoza Heights Chenin / Sauvignon
This unusual blend of Chenin and Sauvignon has fresh appealing aromas of passion fruit, lemon and vanilla. This is a crisp and refreshing dry wine with good acidity and a long finish.  An excellent accompaniment to fish, white meat and dishes prepared with eggs.
Hogue Gewürztraminer
This wine comes from the Columbia Valley in Washington State, the same latitude as Bordeau and Burgundy.  The grapes reach a high level of ripeness before picking and the resultant wine has aromas of lychee and rose-petal. The fruit-forward, rich palate is medium-bodied with lychee and exotic fruit flavours.
Stormy Cape Chenin Blanc
The South Africans really know how to treat the Chenin Blanc grape and here is a fine example.  A lovely fresh, fragrant and stylish wine from the Western Cape.  Created by Gyles Webb, one of South Africa's leading winemakers,
this full-flavoured and fruit driven wine shows great versatility in food matching, with a generous palate.

Carlos Serres Tempranillo '08  - Spain
A wine with a pure, honest, fruit-driven taste.
It has an intensity that would shame many more
expensive wines.  The nose is of black-berries,
the palate strong and robust and extremely satisfying.

SANCERRE SELECTION CASE SANCERRE SELECTION CASE

Two bottles each of :

Sancerre Chateau de Thauvenay 2007  Les Vignes du Baron
This domaine is composed of 17h from vines aged between
10 and 80 years, in AOC Sancerre. From limestone clay slopes,
wholly planted with Sauvignon Blanc.  An elegant dry white wine
full and long and the palate. Lively yet subtle citrus and white
flower aromas leading to a classically dry mineral taste
characteristic of Sauvignon Blanc from chalky limestone soil.
Sancerrs 2008 Blanc Domaine Tinel Blondelet
This wine has an intensely aromatic nose of leaves,
herbs and minerals.  It has a fresh acidity, with a dry,
flinty quality.  A very well-made wine indeed.

Sancerre region of the Loire Valley, where the Millet
family have been making wine for five generations.

MIXED FRENCH WINES MIXED FRENCH WINES

Domaine de Rabany Sauvignon Blanc '07
This delightful wine reveals all the aromas of a true French
Sauvignon Blanc - Citrussy, grassy and very fruity.  A full and
rounded wine with plenty of body and a dry, fresh finish.
Bourgogne Côtes Chalonaise White Burgundy '07
The vineyard is situated a few kilometres away from Chalon-
sur-Soane in the Côtes de Beaune area, from where comes this
true and thoroughbred Burgundy.  All the flavour from the
Chardonnay grape, long in the mouth without too much acidity.
The nose is of citrus fruits and 2-3 year old dried fruits.
Pouilly Fumé Dom. Tinel Blondelet '08
This dry fruity white wine with the characteristic flinty taste develops
a large aromatic palate.  Aromas of citrus, white flowers and vineyard
peaches are found here.  This is an exceptional vintage and, in our
opinion, a fine Pouilly Fumé.
Chateau Paillas '05 AOC Cahors
A dark robe, almost black, a deep nose of red fruits with spices.
A mouth full of fruits, with raspberry and cherry. A full bodied
wine with smooth tannins.  Multi medal winner.
Chateau Lacroux Maurival '07 AOC Gaillac
Intense red colour, pronounced blackcurrant bouquet, this is a
full, strong wine with tannin present, but well-balanced.  It has a
discreet, very pleasant after-taste.
Domaine Gravimel Dame St. Charles AOC St. Chinian '05
A full bodied wine with a powerful nose evoking incense, wild flowers
and tannins; on the palate, a wonderful combination of spices, cocoa
and dark chocolate.  Still a relatively young wine, it is great to drink now,
but will continue to gain depth and complexity if left for a further two to
three years.
