Côtes du rhône villages, brotte

£9.99

Grapes: Grenache / Syrah
ABV: 14.5%
Style: Full-bodied, rich
Vintage: 2012

The Brotte family have been expert wine makers in the Southern Rhône since 1931 and cultivate some of the best parcels of land.  Produced from grapes grown in vineyards located in the Gard and Vaucluse regions, they named this wine Passion d'Anselme - with good reason.  Intense ruby colour with purple hints,  generous and powerful bouquet of ripe red fruits, with liquorice and vanilla aromas, well balanced between red fruits and spices, with vanilla and touches of undergrowth.  Rich, full bodied, round and long in the mouth, ending on a fruity flavour with mild tannins.

An elegant wine in the mouth, supple and robust at the same time. Ideal with delicatessen, red and white meats, small game and cheese.

Interesting ageing ability of 5/6 years.
