South African wines have built a solid reputation on the world stage over the past two decades. 

A wide variety of different wines are produced in South Africa. Their Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc are recognised for being white wines of the highest quality. 

South Africa also produces some impressive international red wine varieties, such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. 

But Pinotage is the signature red wine grape of South Africa. Often found in ‘Cape Blends’ alongside other red wine grapes, Pinotage is fruity, full-bodied and intense and is a variety we would recommend to any red wine drinker.
